Aunt Audrey: Letter to my Mother

This letter was with a birthday card.  It is not dated but probably the late 80s.

Dear Ileen,
Your birthday again reminds me of how dear you are to me.  I hope you have a wonderful day. 
You have done so many great things.  Raising your family and having them all turn out so well is something not many people achieve.  You are so kind and loving to everyone around you that we all are blessed by our association with you. 
My children are all fine and doing well.  I don't know what I'd do without Carolyn.  We talk on the phone and see each other several times a week.  Her boys are her a lot.  One of them lives with me.
Roger calls me and stope by every week or more often.  He helps me a lot but.  But it is Carolyn who gives me companionship.  I am so glad you have Connie close by you.  Aren't we blessed?
 I hope you had a good time in California.  Dianna is a sweetie.
Weldon and Sue stop once in a while.  They have such a neat family  Sue is a special wife.  How lucky Weldon is.  I just hope he can pass that awful test. 
If you ever get to Salo Lake, I'll come by Logan and see you.  I just haven't gone anywhere driving. This awful weather I don't like to drive on the roads.
Jim called me the other day.  He and Jewell are living apart.  He bought a house that had up and down apartments.  They have been trying to evict the tenant upstairs.  It took a long time but they finally got them out and Jewell moved in.  So they are separated.  I don't know if this will lead to a divorce.  They are happier apart.  It was never a good marriage.  Jim is not the man you knew.  I guess he'll just have to bumble along.  His sons keep in rather close touch him him and I am glad for that. 
I hope you are feeling well, Ileen.  Maybe a little good weather will raise the spirits of everyone.

Funeral Program: Bill Claude Green II: cousin

Bill Claude Green II was the son of Verna Wardle and Bill Green.  He passed away very young in California. 

Funeral Program: Carolyn Read: Cousin

Carolyn is my cousin.  She is the daughter of Audrey Wardle Chase and Ellis Chase.  She passed away before Aunt Audrey.  Growing up we went camping several times with the Chase family.

Obituary/Funeral Program: Bud Carter: Cousin

Bud (Gilbert David) Carter was the husband of Ann Chase.  Ann is the daughter of my father's oldest sister.  This obituary gives evidence that he had a family before marrying Ann.  I visited them at their home in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake.  They have one daughter.
  

David Lloyd Chase: My Cousin's Son

David is the son of Kenneth Chase.  Kenneth is the oldest of all the cousins.  Kenneth is the son of Ellis Chase and Audrey Wardle.   I don't know where David falls in line with Kenneth's children.

Here is a two family picture of the kids.  Rose Marie is my mother's sister.  This is her family along with ours.  This picture was taken in Hyrum in 1964.

1988 Saw Four Grand Sons added to our family

1988, starting in about June, my mother counted for grandsons being born in the family, all about six weeks apart starting in June.  In order they were Trevor (Weldon and Sue), Travis (Charlie and Diane), Joshua (Diana and Mark) and Jeremy (Billy and Sheri).  Pretty fun.  In total my mom has 30 grandchildren.  Connie and Kelly as well as Clyde and Sara had all there children prior to this time.

My mom had three new Grand Babies in 1987, Mark (Sheri and Billy) in January, Melissa (Charlie and Diane) and Nicole (Diana and Mark) in September.  

That is the most she had had in any year until the next year.

Cousins in Rigby

I am not sure when this is, but I think this occasion may be when my Grandfather Wardle passed away.  Charlie and I are wanting to sleep, while everyone else wants to stay up all night. The living room in Rigby wasn't large, but it looks like we all fit.

Cousin Danny Green

We lost track of Danny when he reached adulthood.  He married, but I don't know his wife's name.  I heard today he had a child, but didn't know that before today.  He worked as a fry cook.  He died young.  He was 47 passing away in 2002.

Aunt Phyliss Wardle Olsen

Just younger than Dad.  Dad and she attended high school together.
Could someone name the front row for me and less any additional siblings.

 When we lived in Othello Kenneth, oldest cousin on my dad's side and Audrey's son, would come and work on the farm.  This picture is a trip to the Grand Coulee Dam.
