John Thayne Beesley is the husband of my father's sister making him my uncle. My father delivered the family prayer, and my grandfather the invocation. Another uncle, James Olsen gave the benediction and another uncle Bill Green was a pall bearer.
This is a place for my genealogy. At this time I am researching Isaac John Wardle History. He was a Mormon handcart pioneer.

Obituary: Forrest Cass Petersen
Forrest is the son of my niece, Krista and her husband Brant Petersen. He is buried in Hyrum Cemetery. He had a very difficult life as mentioned in the obituary. Krista, took up nursing to be able to care for her son. I remember Brant talked about Forrest as his jogging mate at the funeral. I sang at his funeral. Poem recited "Touched by and Angel" written by my sister and her husband was read at the funeral.
Forrest Cass Petersen
Today, March 24, 1999, our son Forrest went to join our Heavenly father. He left while at home surrounded by his family, as he had lived. He was born April 16, 1991, in Logan, Utah. He was brought into this world early and given many challenges. He was our inspiration and led those near him by example. He taught happiness, love and patience to every heart he touched. He needed his family for everything, but we needed him even more. Forrest, now is your chance to run and play with your angels. We love you and miss your smile.
Forrest is survived by his father, Brant; mother Krista; little sister Kassidi; grandparents Bruce and Nancy Petersen, Clyde and Sara Buff, Rex and Micala Jensen; his great-grandparents Lawrence and Gretta Hansen, Ileen Wardle, Jim Wardle and Claude and Vone Petersen; great-great grandmother Ella Petersen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother Skyler Brant Petersen and great-grandmother Edna Buff.
We offer a special thanks from Forrest for their great care and compassion to Dr. Rand, Dr. Nichols, Dr. Christensen and Dr. Bettis. We would like to thank the staff of St. Luke's pediatric intensive care unit and pediatric floor, we love and appreciate all of you. To Pam Sundae, Rebecca Whitaker, Linda Castro and all the staff at Progressive Nursing, there aren't words to thank you enough.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay awhile and leave footprints in our hearts and we are never, ever the same.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 1999, at the Hyrum Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 10th Ward, 111N 400 W, Hyrum, Utah. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be after the services at the Hyrum Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Allen-Hall Mortuary, Logan.

Cousin Roger Chase: Mayor of Pocatello
My cousin, Roger Chase, served as mayor of Pocatello for a couple of terms. He also loved Pocatello more than any place. When he came to stay with us a coupe times during the summer, in Logan and Pocatello, he was always bored saying there wasn't stuff to do like in Pocatello. Roger is youngest child of Aunt Audrey Wardle Chase.

Obituary/Funeral Program: Bud Carter: Cousin
Funeral Program: Uncle Bill Green
Uncle Bill and Aunt Verna met in the military. Verna is my father's youngest sister, and Bill is her husband. Because Bill was the only member of the church in his family, I have done some of his genealogy. I discovered that his roots go back through the Georgia area. In his line there were members who fought and died for the Confederacy during the Civil War.
As for Uncle Bill, they often lived some distance away, then there was a time they lived in Salt Lake City and Uncle Bill was a truck driver. Growing up they always had Danny, who was older than I, about Connie's age. Danny had red hair.
Of particular note is the poem Aunt Verna wrote for the funeral program. Many of my cousins served ask casket bearers, Dale and Roger Chase, Marvin Beesley, David Olsen. Also son Danny. James Olsen, Lula's husband, James, another uncle, gave the dedicatory prayer and Roger Chase the family prayer.

Family Search and Isaac Wardle Mission
FamilySearch.org has a current web page which provides information with regards to an individual's relatives who served on missions during the early days of the church. It includes the mission of Isaac Wardle to Britain. It includes some information that I did not know. For example, he was set apart by C.C. Rich. Isaac was a Seventy when he served his mission. He was a member of the 9th quorum of Seventies. He served form January 1879 to September 1879. My history of Isaac's mission, based on the many letters he sent home, is at this link. Ronald William Wardle (Dad's Cousin) Funeral Program and Obituary
Ronal William Wardle is my father's cousin. He is the son of Norval Junius and Delsa Taysom Wardle.
Ronald William Wardle
Ronald William Wardle of Logan and Ames, Iowa, died at age 69 on Sept. 18, 2006, after a difficult illness.
Ronald is remembered by his family and many friends for his gentle spirit and ability to accept misfortune without bitterness. He was a student of scripture, of philosophy, and of mathematics and physics, specifically improved yacht hull design hydrodynamic models. Another of his unique interests was Middle English literature which he read in the gothic script.
Dearest among the many friends he cherished and who cherished him were his classmates in the Ames High class of 1955 who provided particular love and encouragement throughout his life. Nieces, nephews and children in his Sunday school classes were captivated by his dramatic poem recitations.
Ronald was even more loyal to Ames than his parents and brothers and sister, and lived there 38 years before moving to Logan for the peace of mind of his mother and father. In Logan he was a great assistance to his parents in their advancing years. He served in the Logan LDS Temple for many years.
Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Carol; and father Norval Junius Wardle. He is survived by his mother, Delsa Taysom Wardle of Logan; a sister, Ilene Lyons of Sunrise, Fla.; and brothers, Leon of Wayland, Mass., Terry of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Michael of Las Vegas and Robert of Logan. the family wishes to extend special thanks to all who helped Ron at Legacy House of Logan and with Access Hospice.
The funeral will be help at 11 a.m. on Friday Sept. 22, at the Logan Fifth Ward chapel. He will be interred on Friday beside his father and sister Carol in Rockland, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, friends and family who would prefer may send a donation to the Norval Junius Wardle Scholarship in care of Iowa State University Foundation (Attn. Monica Porter), 2505 Elwood Drive, Ames, Iowa 50010.
Condolences and memories may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net. Arrangement by Allen-Hall Mortuary.

Mom's Correspondence
My mother, Ileen Wright Wardle, maintained a mail relationship, and sometimes phone as well, with numerous people. She was especially showered with card when she broke her neck and was recovering. She was working in the temple, and all shifts sent her cards signed by over thirty persons each. In addition there was Steve and Mardeane, friends form Illinois, her ward relief society, people from the courts where she worked, and many others. She also kept up regular correspondence with Dad's sisters, Audrey and Phyllis, and Audrey's children, Carolyn, Ann and Kenneth. She even saved a card from Uncle Sarah and Uncle Newell (who are actually friends, not aunt and uncle.)
In addition to get-well cards, she also received many birthday and Christmas cards over the years.
Of course there are numerous cards and correspondence she saved from grandchildren and sons and daughters. My mother has quite a progeny.
